SCARY 30*
For my birthday I decided to go for a photoshoot..
I did it because I was turning 30, and Yes, I am making a big fuss about it.
Why? Because it’s the SCARY 30.
When I was younger, I used to see people in their 30s successful, having their life all settled, having a clear vision of their career and future. 30 is being a real adult.
BULLSHIT.
To name few of the checklist that I had to get over with before the end of my 20s:
• Travel to the US for tourism (Didn’t get my Visa on time for the planned trip – cool enough at least I got the visa and will travel some other time !)
• To finish my MA degree and to start with my PHD (Yeah. I procrastinated this for the last 7 years, so shall we not blame the time here?)
• To move to Europe (Never worked for it to happen – but look at me living in Dubaiii babe !)
• To grow and excel in my own business (Slowly things are happening, hello Sun17*)
• To get married, buy a house and have my first baby in my 30s (WOW scary thing, married and baby who? – Maybe, maybe, if I found the right partner that wouldn’t have been that scary, but yeah in the right time !)
• To buy my FIRST FERRARI (Nah not a Ferrari fan anymore, Maserati it is *dance* )
Wohoo big dreams for a 30, yeah?
Not really that big. Just that THIRTY; comes with big expectations, heavy loads and all kinds of disappointments if I’m not at the status the society convinced me I should be at.
Yes having all the above could have been the perfect scenario. But just my life had a different plan for me, my time has a different chronological order than the society’s one.
Correct, I am not where I was planning to be in life but I am good where I am today, walking steadily into life, making the best out of it.
Adapting to my new features and embracing the change, my white hair, my wrinkles, my new curves, and for that I wanted to pause the time in some pictures.
30 is just a scary number, but hey go be proud of yourself, for what you have achieved and keep reminding yourself no matter how hard the situation could get of how blessed your are ! Take it easy on yourself and to trust your timing to unfold your path.
